Foam Food Service Ware Prohibition

The passage of SB 54 ushered in a new era for packaging in California by requiring 100 percent of plastic packaging to be recyclable or compostable by 2032. Included in the legislation, however, is a provision restricting the sale and distribution of expanded polystyrene food service ware (Public Resources Code 42057(i)).
