In order to track California’s ever-shifting political ecosystem, CGA utilizes a mix of in-house lobbyists, contract lobbyists and public affairs professionals to develop cutting-edge advocacy strategies.
Every piece of legislation that impacts the grocery industry — from transportation to food safety — is reviewed with a committee of CGA retailer and supplier members. The Association’s government relations team works with legislators and their staff, other advocacy groups and state regulators to find practical solutions for issues affecting the grocery industry.
