CalOES Applauds CA Grocers’ Emergency Response

Grocers Deliver Truckloads of Food to Community In-Need

California grocers sprung into action in response to a severe weather emergency in the mountain community of San Bernardino this March. When a series of snowy winter storms shut down mountain roads leaving communities stranded and food banks with depleted supply, grocers swiftly answered the call for replenishment and delivered truckloads of water, food, and essentials to impacted residents.

Governor Newsom and the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services commended the essential work of Albertsons, Stater Bros. Markets, and Superior Grocers for their life-saving emergency response.
