Details of regulation: Food vendors are prohibited from dispensing prepared food to customers in disposable food service ware made from polystyrene. All city facilities, city-sponsored events, and city permitted events are prohibited from using disposable food service ware made from polystyrene. All city departments and agencies shall not purchase or acquire disposable food service ware made from polystyrene for use at city facilities. Exemptions include prepared foods packaged outside the city, undue hardship, and polystyrene coolers and ice chests intended for reuse.
