In a release, the City of Palm Springs said masks are now required for anyone who is standing, walking, hiking, biking or running on a sidewalk adjacent to a business establishment. Masks are also required or anyone inside a fitness center, gym, yoga studio, dance studio or similar establishment, even while exercising. The mandate further requires that patrons picking up food or dining inside a restaurant wear a mask any time a restaurant employee approaches a patron at a table or bar, but not while eating. Lastly, the mandate requires that each hotel, motel, vacation rental or timeshare in Palm Springs post signage reminding its patrons to practice social distancing and wear masks as required by the city.
