In November 2016, City Council banned all disposable food service ware made from Expanded Polystyrene for all food providers and city facilities. Effective May 16, 2016.
Details of regulation: Food providers and all City facilities and city-managed concessions and events are prohibited from providing prepared in disposable food service ware made of EPS. Exemptions include food prepared or packaged outside of the City, food provided by school districts under its official food service program, and undue hardship.
