Polystyrene food packaging ban based on the San Mateo County model was adopted in May 2013.
Details of regulation: No vendor shall use polystyrene-based disposable food service ware when providing prepared food. Exemptions include prepackaged food, polystyrene coolers and ice chests intended for reuse, and undue hardship.
